Mark Werts studied International Business Management at BB International after having his bachelor degree in English Literature at Berkeley University.
Werts, who worked at Switzerland and Spain Offices of Price Waterhause Coopers, set off his first business in Amsterdam and worked on vintage. He returned USA in 1984 and carried out American Rag Cie until today.In 2009 he took the first steps of Industrie Denim with the partnership of Levi Strauss&Co and turned it into a international brand.
Werts, takes part in the administrative council of Roski Fine Arts school, gave lectures at Marshall School of Business. He won the "Person of the Year" award, given by City of Hope, in 2008, and, MR Magazine Lifetime Success Award in 2013.
