Stéphane Garelli is one of the foremost authorities to analyze the future in terms of economy, technology, competitiveness and innovation. Garelli was the managing director of the World Economic Forum for 13 years. As the Director of IMD’s World Competitiveness Center, he publishes the World Competitiveness Yearbook that grades and compares the competitiveness of forty-six nations.

Stéfane Garelli, the world acclaimed future expert, is a professor at the International Institute for Management Development, which is one of the world leading business schools. He also lectures at the Lausanne University.

The annually published IMD World Competiton Yearbook, which Garelli is directing is closely followed by the global business world. The report analyses the competition situation in 46 countries, based on more than 300 criteria.

Garelli who is also the Chairman of the Swiss Le Temps newspaper has written several books and published numerous articles on topics regarding the future, international trade and investment. Over 12 years, he has given consultancy services to HP Europe and has worked as Director for the World Economic Forum and Davos.
